Top 3 Launches That Caught Our Eye This Month
Swift has released its blockchain-based ledger for initial use. The ledger lets banks use tokenised deposits to move customer funds instantly, 24/7, while the official settlement is still done over traditional rails. Seventeen banks, including HSBC, Citi, BNY, UBS, and Wells Fargo, are preparing to test cross-border payments using the network.
Ondo Finance's broker-dealer subsidiary, Oasis Pro Markets, has received SEC and FINRA’s approval to offer tokenized equities and funds to U.S. investors. The approval also allows Oasis Pro to support omnibus account structures so investors and advisors can access tokenized securities through their brokers.
Following its listing on the NYSE, Securitize also tokenized its common stock, and is offering it through its own platform. The tokenized shares are initially available on Avalanche and Solana, though access will still require KYC and AML checks and be subject to regulatory standards.
Chart of the month
Since July 2025, the value of tokenized treasuries has grown 157.1% to $16.2 billion from $6.3 billion.
Circle’s USYC led much of that growth, swelling to just over $3 billion, compared to $255.2 million a year ago. The asset, which maintains 99% of its value on BNB Chain, is now the largest tokenized treasury asset, accounting for 18.8% of the market.

Additional RWA & Tokenization Developments
The UK Treasury has assembled over 50 major financial firms to spend the next year testing real-world uses for tokenization in Britain, starting with "tokenised repo," a common type of short-term, collateral-backed loan. Notably, the plan lays out the UK’s intent to issue its own government debt in tokenized form, in a bid to give the market a trusted "safe asset" to build around.
New York Life Investment Management is launching its first tokenized fund in partnership with Centrifuge. Investors will be able to buy and cash out of the fund using USDC.
Ondo Finance has partnered with Japan’s SBI Group to bring Japanese equities onchain. Assets will be issued by Ondo, distributed through SBI’s platform, and settled in SBI's yen-pegged stablecoin, JPYSC.
Plume has launched nOPAL, an investment vault on Avalanche that tokenizes Brazilian credit card receivables. Traditionally, merchants sell their unpaid credit card revenue, known as receivables, at a discount, for cash instead of waiting for credit card companies to settle their debt. By tokenizing this debt, nOPAL offers traders exposure to these markets, which have so far only been available to large institutional investors.
Uniswap has launched Permissioned Pools, a new feature built on Uniswap V4 that lets investors trade tokenized funds, stocks, and securities. These Pools require users to verify their wallets before trading or providing liquidity, which makes for more compliant trading.
T-RIZE has started using Chainlink to verify insurance coverage for its tokenized private credit product built on Canton Network. Chainlink is providing "proof of insurance," an onchain record of an asset’s insurance, which can be independently verified by a third party.
Term of the month: Composability
Definition: A feature that lets different blockchain-based platforms and products plug into and build on top of one another. A composable application can automatically use or connect with another without needing custom work to make them compatible.
Used in a sentence: Because DeFi platforms are built with composability in mind, a tokenized bond fund can be plugged directly into a lending app, letting investors borrow against it without either platform having to build a special connection.
What we’re listening to
Roger Bayston, head of digital assets at Franklin Templeton, joined the Taking Tokens podcast to explain how tokenization is replacing traditional rails, why investors need to pay attention, and how tokenization has become a focal point in his career.
Theo Golden, head of digital assets at Baillie Gifford, explained on Talking Tokens how tokenization is more akin to a software upgrade for traditional finance, rather than a total overhaul. Additionally, he gave context on Baillie Gifford’s new tokenized bond fund, BAGEY.
DeFi Dave, co-founder of CAP, spoke on The Market Runup about why onchain credit could be the next catalyst for bringing institutions into DeFi. He explained the reasons why DeFi has failed in the past, and what is different now.
