Injective By The Numbers

The percentages and metrics are calculated from its change over a 14-day time frame, unless noted otherwise.

Injecting The Biggest Developments

🥷 What’s happening: Injective completed its September Community BuyBack, removing 29K $INJ (worth about $224,333) from supply, about 86% more than August's buyback, which cut supply by $120,470.

This buyback also included Injective’s first Stockdrop, where participants had a chance to receive a random Stock Token on Robinhood Chain.

🥷 Why it matters: The Community BuyBack allows users to commit INJ tokens in exchange for a pro rata share of revenue generated across the network every month. The committed tokens are permanently burned.

The addition of Stockdrop now adds a second reward. Every address that committed INJ to the September round got a chance to receive one Stock Token, a tokenized version of a public company's shares, delivered on Robinhood Chain this month. Each address could get only one Stock Token no matter how much INJ it committed, so smaller participants had the same shot at a reward as larger ones.

This initiative also introduced INJ holders to tokenized stocks, a market Injective has been building toward throughout the year.

🥷  The bigger picture: Stockdrop comes as Injective has been working to bring tokenized assets onchain and make them easier to trade. Within the past month, the network registered a transfer agent with the SEC to record ownership changes when trades are settled, and added support for issuing tokenized stocks and real-world assets via the Meridian upgrade (more on this below).

Expanding The Financial Ecosystem

Updates on the latest network of dApps, validators, builders and more helping Injective expand its financial use cases.

  • Injective's Meridian upgrade went live on September 24, adding support for tokenized assets on the network.

    • The upgrade combines trading markets for tokenized stocks and RWAs, and launched early testing for Injective’s CypherOS privacy platform.

    • It lets issuers build compliance and transfer rules directly into tokenized products, so stocks and other real-world assets can be issued, traded and settled on Injective.

    • CypherOS is a privacy protocol built on Injective that lets users encrypt a portion of their balance so they can send money onchain without making their balances and transfers visible to everyone on the network.

  • Canary Capital has amended its Staked INJ ETF filing to include that 90% of the fund's INJ would be staked. Previously, Canary stated it would stake a portion of its INJ holdings, but had not stated an amount.

  • 21Shares also amended its filing for its own Injective ETF, saying it would stake between 40% and 60% of its holdings. BNY Mellon is administrating and custodying the ETF.

  • Injective integrated with Bitrefill, a crypto shopping platform that lets users buy gift cards, eSIMs and phone refills from over 8,000 merchants, including on DoorDash and Amazon, using native USDC on Injective.

    • The tie up gives Injective users a way to spend their onchain balance on everyday purchases.

    • LI.FI is handling the swaps and bridges on the backend.

From The Injective Ninjas 🥷

Highlighting the builders, communities and ecosystem players within the Injective blockchain.

  • Runup launched a token launchpad to Injective that ties every token to a leveraged long or short trade on a stock, crypto asset or RWA chosen by its creator.

    • Profits from each token's trade are meant to be used to buy back and permanently remove that token from circulation, linking its supply to whether the creator's market call plays out.

  • Mongolian Sports Corporation, the promoter of Mongolia's national motocross championship, verified the MONGOL MX League's official 2026 season results on Injective through LocalTruth.

    • This gave fan sites, statistics services and media outlets a single public record to check results against, and the promoter plans to use the setup for the 2027 season as well.

  • Sprout launched a token launchpad on Injective that lets anyone create a token in one transaction without a presale or needing to put up their own money for trading.

    • Each token is designed to build up its own trading funds as people buy in, then move to a permanent trading pool once it hits a set target. Creators earn a share of every trade’s fee.
