Injective By The Numbers

The percentages and metrics are calculated from its change over a 14-day time frame, unless noted otherwise.

Injecting The Biggest Developments

Highlighting some of the largest announcements from Injective.

🥷 What’s happening: Injective is making moves to improve its regulatory and institutional presence. At its Summit in Washington D.C. on July 16, the blockchain said it has filed to become a transfer agent in the U.S., and also unveiled Injective Mint, a platform that lets users  issue tokenized assets without writing code. Injective also filed a whitepaper as required by the EU’s Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCA) act to seek permission to introduce the INJ token for trading in the European Economic Area.

🥷 Why it matters: Becoming a transfer agent will allow Injective itself to maintain official records of asset ownership on the blockchain. This will let it cater to institutions, token owners, asset managers and custodians as a service that keeps compliance, ownership and valuations in concert.

Injective Mint seeks to make token creation simpler with a no-code interface that lets users issue a token, set investor permissions, configure custody, and build in compliance rules. The rules are enforced by the chain, so a transfer that breaks them is rejected rather than caught after settlement.

Under MiCA, a digital asset issuer who wants to introduce their token for trading must publish a whitepaper in a standardized format and notify a national regulator

🥷  The bigger picture: Together, the moves are aimed at helping Injective align itself with regulations. The transfer agent registration, if granted, would help Injective serve institutions and traders by automating settlement and reconciliation. And the MiCA whitepaper sets it on a path to potentially expand its token to Europe.

Expanding The Financial Ecosystem

Updates on the latest network of dApps, validators, builders and more helping Injective expand its financial use cases.

  • Injective has signed up with the x402 Foundation, which develops an open standard for payments made over HTTP.

  • Coinbase has migrated the INJ token from Ethereum (ERC-20) to a native version on the Injective EVM. Users on the exchange can now withdraw INJ directly to Injective without requiring a bridge or wrapped asset, giving them immediate access to staking, governance, and onchain markets.

  • Injective has released an AI Agent SDK, a suite of tools that lets people use AI agents to  query chain state, prepare and sign transactions, open perpetual futures positions, and bridge assets

  • Robinhood has listed the INJ token, giving the token exposure to the platform’s huge swathe of retail traders.
