Injecting The Biggest Developments
🥷 What’s happening: Injective Institutional Services, an Injective-affiliated entity, has registered as a transfer agent with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
🥷 Why it matters: A transfer agent maintains the official record of who owns a security, logs ownership changes, and determines who receives dividends and who can vote.
Currently, tokenized securities exist in two places: a token gets issued onchain, and an official ownership record is stored in a company database, which has to be matched after every trade. This split in responsibilities is due to regulatory limitations, as the official record had to be owned by a registered transfer agent.
Registering as a transfer agent allows the network to record ownership changes at the moment a trade is settled. For institutions, this speeds up reconciliation dramatically, as all records can be updated live on the blockchain.
🥷 The bigger picture: The registration adds a layer to a function that Injective Mint already handles: allowing issuers to write rules into the asset itself in order to customize who is allowed to hold it, where it can travel, and who can issue or redeem it.
Injective’s transfer agent will operate underneath Mint by maintaining the official ownership records U.S. securities regulations require. Together, the two cover issuance and recordkeeping for assets already live on Injective, such as BlackRock’s money market products, the Hamilton Lane SCOPE Senior Credit Fund, pre-IPO equities, and the POSCO International’s receivables pilot.
Note: The registration does not mean assets minted on Injective qualify as securities.
Expanding The Financial Ecosystem
Updates on the latest network of dApps, validators, builders and more helping Injective expand its financial use cases.
Injective was a blockchain partner at the AdventureX 2026 hackathon. Alongside Ninja Labs, the network is supporting select teams as they prepare for their mainnet launch:
MakeBook: An onchain presale clearing platform that batches buyer commitments and issues refunds in full if the minimum order quantity isn’t filled.
Agentland: Converts photos into AI agents that have memory and tradable verified skills.
Star Aligned: A personal collection and memory platform on Injective.
Injenium: An skill marketplace for AI agents that uses onchain escrow, hash-checked recipes, and sandbox validation.
ShiftX: A narrative game with user-generated cases and collectibles.
AlphaSwipe: A swipe-based trading interface that lets users long or short stock and crypto news.
Arena402: An agent-to-agent payments benchmark that measures how well AI agents trade and settle against each other.
Injective’s daily active users has grown since August 7, when the network launched season 2 of the Zealy campaign. At the beginning of the month, Injective was averaging between 80K-100K users daily active users, but since then has consistently seen active users trend at around 140K, hitting an all-time high of 235.8K on August 13.
Injective surpassed $80B in total trading volume across both its markets, with $73.5B coming from derivative trading such as perpetual futures and RWA markets, and $6.56B coming from spot trading.
Eric Chen, founder and CEO of Injective, spoke on the Thinking Crypto podcast about why the network customizes its RWA module to support different categories and countries’ legislations.
InjScan integrated with AgentOS, allowing users to search transactions and user data using natural language queries.
