Animechain’s Digital Collectible Platform Sees NFT Volume and Price Growth
Azuki Gate's NFT collection on Animechain saw an increase in trading activity at the end of April. The spike coincided with the team's expansion of its digital collectible platform on April 30, which added new collectibles available through the gacha mechanic. The collection is being traded with Animecoin's native token, ANIME.
In the days leading up to the announcement, daily volume ranged between 500 and 600 ANIME, with a floor price of 2 ANIME. On April 30, daily volume rose to 600 to 800 ANIME, and the floor moved to 4.5 ANIME.
The figures translate to amounts under $1 at current ANIME prices, so by no means represent a meaningful dollar amount. However, the volume increase points to higher participation in the collectible ecosystem following the addition of new items.
Participation in the gacha platform requires users to have the Azuki Gate NFT, so adding new items to the prize pool gives holders more reason to use or acquire the collection. This ties NFT demand more directly to platform activity than to secondary trading.
Despite the overall Animecoin market trending up slightly over the past month, token trading volume was slightly lower. This indicates the activity was concentrated around the NFT collection’s launch rather than the broader market.
